Frequently asked questions

Account & privacy

Who can see my health records?

Only you, people you add to your family profile with the right permissions, and doctors you share records with for a limited time. Every view is logged and you can see who accessed your records under Sharing & access.

How do I download or delete my data?

Go to Account ? Privacy & consent. You can export your records (including a FHIR file) or request deletion. Some records, such as prescriptions and invoices, must be kept for a legally required period.

Why do I need two-step verification?

Two-step verification protects your health data if your password is ever exposed. Providers and staff must use it; for patients it is optional but recommended.

Consultations

How do video visits work?

Join from Appointments a few minutes before your time slot. The call runs in your browser — no app needed. Calls are never recorded unless both you and the doctor agree.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes, from the appointment page. Canceling more than 24 hours before the visit gives a full refund; later cancellations follow the doctor’s policy shown when booking.

Emergencies

Does OmniCare replace emergency services?

No. In an emergency call 911 first. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988. The SOS button also alerts our coordination team and your emergency contacts.

Lab tests

How do I prepare for a blood test?

Each test shows its preparation before you book. Many tests need 10–12 hours of fasting (water is fine). Your booking confirmation repeats the instructions.

Medicines

Do I need a prescription to order medicines?

Prescription-only medicines need a valid prescription — either an OmniCare e-prescription or one your doctor sends to the pharmacy. A pharmacist checks it before your order is packed.

Who delivers my order and what do they see?

A verified delivery partner. They see your delivery address and order reference only — never the medicine names. You confirm delivery with a 4-digit code.

Payments

What appears on my card statement?

Only a generic description such as “OmniCare Order #AB12-CD”. We never send medicine, test or therapy details to payment providers. You can request an itemized receipt for HSA/FSA or insurance reimbursement.

In an emergency, call 911. OmniCare does not replace emergency services.
